   Quercus coccinea, the Scarlet Oak tree is often associated with  absolute love. It is probably because of its vivid color, its leaves that turn red in the autumn and its ever-shining appearance that the American Red Oak represents passionate and deep love for another.

  Our Scarlet Oak Leaf Necklace is crafted of 14k Gold and dark Sterling.  A Cabochon is set on our textured Oak Leaf adds another layer of meaning to this Nature Amulet, an expression of enduring passion.  A deep taproot anchors the Scarlet Oak, while lateral roots grow as the tree does, spreading to collect water.

• Choose a 14k Gold baby Lobster Claw style clasp or a dark Sterling one.
• Choose the Cabochon to be set in your Scarlet oak Leaf Necklace.
• Oak Leaf is approximately 7/8" in length, and 7/16ths at the widest part.

  The native range of the Scarlet Oak tree extends from Maine to Florida and west to Missouri. The first scientific observations of this tree were made in 1691. Fast growing, and tolerant of a range of soil types, it will grow to have a rounded grown, to a height of 60- 80 feet, providing light shade.  Scarlet oak acorns are an important food source for many large songbirds, wild turkeys, grouse, squirrels and white-tailed deer.
