Our unique amulet crafted from solid Sterling, is incised with symbols, darkened to give them emphasis. An amulet to connect one with the first mystical alphabet currently known, that of the Vikings, that became known as Runes.
During the first centuries AD, runes developed in areas populated by Germanic tribes, probably inspired by the Latin alphabet of the Romans who had traversed much of that land.
The earliest runic inscriptions, dating from ca 150 AD, are particularly common in what is now Denmark, Northern Germany and Southern Sweden.
To connect one with the first mystical alphabet of the vikings, Runes, we have created our own version of a Rune Rings. We wrap the Black leather ends with Sterling Wire and attach our Lobster Claw style clasp. We apply a natural, oxidizing patina to the Sterling and lightly hand brush for a matte finish, creating personal amulets with a treasure feel.
- The Rune Ring crafted of solid Sterling Silver is approximately 1" in diameter and incised with symbols on each side.
- Black Leather approximately 2mm in diameter is wound onto the Ring.
- Sterling tube ends connect to our Sterling Lobster Claw Clasp to complete the piece in your desired length.
Each piece comes tucked in a pouch, in our T and Brie gift box, with our handcrafted Rune card describing our inspiration for meaningful gift giving.
All of our work is handcrafted in our mother daughter studio in the verdant lower Hudson Valley region of New York, where Nature is lush and full of surprises.
