Extra Large Gemstone Dragonfly Necklace, crafted in Sterling

The Dragonfly, like the mythic, cosmic dragons of the Far East, are imbued with the spirit of regeneration and immortality. Their amazing life cycle includes a transformation from an ungainly aquatic nymph to an iridescent aerial acrobat! Teresa was inspired to try to capture the elegant beauty of this fast moving creature, in Sterling enhanced with a glistening cabochon.

The wingspan of this creature is 1 3/4" wide and the body is 1 3/8" long
It is crafted on an 18" Sterling Twisted Rope Chain, and finished with our Hook and Eye clasp

This unique Necklace is handcrafted using traditional Metalsmithing techniques. Meticulously incised and chased patterns bring the formed Sterling sheet metal to life. We relish finding design solutions for our deas, working in metal; we enjoy the resist of the medium. This piece is then given a natural patina, T and Brie's signature graphite grey adding depth and dimension, enhancing the designs.

All of our work is thoughtfully crafted in our studio, located in the lower Hudson Valley region of New York, where nature is full and abundant and inspiring.
