Citrine, gets its name from the French word citron, which means lemon. Like citrus fruits, Citrine comes in sunny shades of yellow and orange. It is a member of the Quartz mineral family, and the birthstone for those born in the month of November, as well as the gem of the 13th wedding anniversary. It is associated with positivity and optimism, which is not surprising given its warm, cheerful color. It has been called the Merchant's Stone as it has been believed to amplify and add abundance to one's prosperity.
About the Faceted style: Rosecut is a flat backed faceted stone with the facets done on the dome, in a geometric pattern. A cut that we love originating in the 1500's, becoming very popular in the Edwardian era, before the dominating Brilliant cuts of the later 1900's came into vogue.
