  Our Queen Bee earrings crafted with elegant Ear wires will buzz just below the earlobe with their outstretched wings and spiral bodies. Crafted with Posts and large Backs, they will sit on the Earlobe.

  These unique 1" wide earrings are crafted from Sterling wire and sheet, and cast in limited production and completed and stone set by Teresa.  Designed when Teresa moved from the city to the country and became inspired by the many life forms teaming in the yard.

  Cool Sterling is given a soft, natural charcoal patina and finished by hand-brushing to a gleaming satin-finished Silver.

  The subtle feminine form of these earrings is inspired by Bees association with women, in many different cultures, throughout history. In Greek mythology, bees were believed to be the souls of priestesses who had been in the service of Aphrodite during their lifetimes. In Ancient Greece, at the temple of Aphrodite at Eryx, priestesses were called “Melissae”, which means "Bees,” and Aphrodite herself was called Melissa, the Queen Bee.
