Luscious Antiqued Sterling Celestial Pendant enhanced by a large, gleaming, round chunk of sustainably harvested Abalone Shell, from California make this necklace a statement piece. Also available with a luminous Checkerboard faceted Labradorite, or Tiger's Eye Cabochon, or Fluorite Cabochon, all are 12mm in diameter. The central pendant is approximately 2.5 cm in diameter including the planets.
Weighty Sterling Silver Twisted Rope Chain, joined in the back by our own made sterling Hook and Eye Clasp, handmade just for you. There is so much beauty in the clear night sky, alignments of planets have always inspired me, and this piece is based on the fantastic historic imagery found in a favorite Abrams Discovery book by my bedside, "The Sky, Mystery, Magic and Myth" by Jean-Pierre Verdet.
The Necklace is crafted on a 17" long Twisted Rope Sterling Chain, with a Hook and Eye clasp and tube ends that comprise approx 1 1/4" in length. We will select each stone or shell piece for their iridescence and fine shape, to create a unique piece for you. Our Sterling and Gold is recycled right off our bench from years of snips and cuts.
Abalone Shell, sustainably harvested by a California Aquaculture Farm, has a shifting iridescence that has called to me for a long time. The hues are unbelievably beautiful and I find they complement our charcoal grey Sterling Patina very well.
We can also set the piece with a lovely checkerboard top Labradorite glistening like a magical planet, or with a domed cabochon of carmel-hued Tiger Eye, it's shifting striations recalling the rings of Saturn.
Another option to set is a lovely banded, cabochon of mint green to purple of the gem, Fluorite. Fluorite is a mineral composed of Calcium and Flouride, and is thought to assist with mental order and clarity, as it is believed to enhance focus and concentration.
We patina our Silver pieces, adding a rich quality that contrasts nicely with the luminescent stones, imparting a subtle elegance. Seven Planets is a striking contemporary necklace aligned with the mysteries of the celestial skies; meaningful Adornment that beckons a second look.
