Sterling and Gemstone 'Blue Ghost' Firefly Amulet on Black Leather

The enigmatic summertime favorite, our representation of the mysterious "Blue Ghosts", Phaussis Reticulata, of the South Eastern U.S., captured in glistening Sterling Silver, enhanced with our signature high dome, glowing Blue Topaz Cabochon, crafted on a 2mm Black Leather Cord.

  • The Firefly is approximately 3/4" long.
  • This phosphorescent beetle is created on a 16" to 30" Black Leather Cord, your choice.
  • Our Sterling Spiral wrapped ends are handcrafted as are our Hook Clasps.
  • We can add links of chain for length flexibility, ending with a faceted bead complimenting the Amulet's Cabochon. 
  • The Leather ends are hand wrapped with Sterling wire and attached with our Hook and Eye style clasp, or a Lobster Claw clasp.
  • This bespoke Talisman of the summer nights that will be crafted for you in two weeks time

Our Blue Ghosts can be set with gemstone options including, Milky Blue Chalcedony, Blue Topaz or blue-flash Ceylon Moonstone

All of our Gems are natural and variations occur, though we chose only the finest for our finished works high standards to be maintained.

A natural, oxidizing patina is applied to the Sterling in the creative process and is lightly hand brushed off for a matte finish, creating personal amulets with a treasure feel.

A unique amulet to connect one with all things magical about summer evenings and hopefully delight and please for many years to come.  Crafted for women as well as men.

Each piece is signed & dated and comes tucked in a pouch, in a decorative T and Brie gift box, with a handcrafted Firefly card describing the inspiration and a bit of Firefly lore for unique, meaningful gift giving.

All work is designed and handcrafted in a mother daughter studio in the verdant lower Hudson Valley region of New York, where Nature is lush and full of surprises.
