These light domes will sit on the lobe if crafted with Sterling Posts and large Sterling backs, or dangle just below with Ear wires. They are approximately 7/8" long, with posts. A luminous, plump fresh water Pearl in the color of your choice will dangle approximately 1/4 " long.
Playful Manhole Cover Earrings were patterned using metal stamping tools and soldered into a our little gear edge, finished with a drop of wire wrapped luminous Grey Freshwater Pearls. Inspired by the ubiquitous metallic discs I found so appealing while growing up in the City. I found them comforting as I hoofed around the Island; like urban Mandalas, underfoot. My senior thesis explored Manhole Covers as Adornment at my college, Parsons School of Design.
Our Sterling pieces have a natural patina, and are hand-brush for a finish that accentuates the intricate details and imparts a satin sheen to the metal, exuding an understated elegance..
