T and Brie's 14k Gold Firefly Necklace is crafted entirely in solid 14k Gold, a mystical amulet to connect one with all things magical about Nature and specifically, dark summer evenings.
- The handcrafted Firefly, is solid 14k gold, including the gemstone it is approximately 3/4" long.
- This phosphorescent beetle is created on a 14k Gold 18" oval cable link chain with T and Brie's handcrafted 14k Gold graceful Hook and Eye Clasp, or it can be crafted with a Lobster Claw style clasp, your choice.
- Black enamel is added to enhance the details
- The 18" includes the clasp; other lengths available, please reach out via messages with your request.
The gem: Shown set with T and Brie's signature inverted gemstone, our 14k Gold Firefly is shown here a glowing Opal, displaying flashes of green to blue to bright orange as the gem moves. A gem specially cut for us in India by a family of gem cutters cutting gems for five generations.
This piece can also be crafted for you and set with a Moonstone, Peridot, Blue Topaz, Ruby, or Citrine gem finishing off the body of this diminutive member of the beetle family of insects, Lampyridae, with it's beloved flashing "lantern".
Each piece is handcrafted and is signed & dated and comes tucked in a pouch, in T and Brie gift box, with a small card describing the inspiration with a bit of Firefly lore for unique gift giving.
All of T and Brie's work is handcrafted in their mother daughter studio in the verdant lower Hudson Valley region of New York.
