This substantial recycled 14k Gold and Silver Curb Chain Butterfly Necklace was created from sheet metal that Teresa pierced and then skillfully cut out with her jeweler's saw to create the beautiful unique pattern of the intricate wings of one of Spring's most ephemeral creatures. Teresa then delicately formed the subtlety of it's shape and created an overlay piece of two sheets of metal soldered together.
- Large in size the Butterfly is approximately 2" wide by 2" in length and 2mm in the thickest parts.
- Crafted on Oxidized Sterling Silver Curb Chain with either a Lobster Claw or with Hook and Eye Clasp in either 14k Gold or Sterling completed with a Sterling adjustable tail or Chain, making the Necklace 16 " adjustable to 18"
- finished with a sparkly pear shaped gem, set in 14k gold.
T and Brie's homage to the incredible Lepidoptera Order of Insects is finished with a hand brushed technique: earthy, elegant and exuding an understated sophistication. It can be finished with a black patina in the recessed spaces, accentuating the design or left in the tone on tone light and darker Gold as shown in the photos.
