These unique 1" wide earrings are crafted from recycled 18k Yellow Gold wire and sheet, and cast in limited production, completed and stone set by Teresa. They are crafted in the round, and weigh approximately 8 grams.

The subtle feminine form of these earrings is inspired by Bees association with women, in many different cultures, throughout history. In Greek mythology, bees were believed to be the souls of priestesses who had been in the service of Aphrodite during their lifetimes. In Ancient Greece, at the temple of Aphrodite at Eryx, priestesses were called “Melissae”, which means "Bees,” Aphrodite herself was called Melissa, the Queen Bee.
