Our Carved Flow Sterling Hoop Earrings will dangle, in profile approximately 1 1/4" from the ear lobe. They are handcrafted from thick Sterling wire, that is carved and then given a natural Patina which creates a rich pattern of the contrasting blackened carvings. A unique, wearable Hoop Earring, with a matte sheen, radiating understated sophistication.
Earrings have enjoyed a long history of being used as Adornment, by both men and women for thousands of years, dating back to at least 3000 B.C. Ear piercing is documented in artworks as one of the earliest forms of body modification or Adornment. The Hoop shape, believed to originate in Asia and the Middle East, appears as one of the earliest earring shapes along with the Pendant. - T and Brie Carved Flow Hoops are a sizable yet not too heavy Earring approximately 1" in diameter, and each is approximately 1/8" wide.
- You may order them with a Wire and Catch as shown, or with a Post and Back, if you prefer that style.
- They will hang a tad bit longer and have more movement on the Earwire and Catch; crafted with the Post, and Back they will wear more stationary, flush up to the ear.
